Living in harmony with your Menstrual Cycle

Take a journey through the menstrual cycle, discover its meaning and wisdom and learn how Ayurveda can support and balance you in your feminine well being.

 

Who is this workshop for?

  • Healthy women and women who experience a difficult menstrual cycle, 
  • Women who seek a holistic and meaningful explanation of the value and importance of their menstrual cycle
  • Women who are  healing a reproductive loss, trauma  and/or a disconnection from their inner feminine nature
  • Women who are interested in the natural fertility method of contraception

What you will learn

  • The different ‘lunar’ phases or ‘seasons’ of your cycle and how they influence your energy, emotions and body.
  • The importance of diet and digestion at the different stages of the cycle
  • How to plan your activities to make the most of your energy and  potential at the different stages of the cycle
  • The importance of self-care and how yoga and massage techniques can support you.
  • The value and benefit of co- operating with and knowing your cycle, tuning in to your feelings and allowing for a cyclical life and consciousness.

What happens on the day?

Sofya will present the Ayurvedic and traditional understanding of the menstrual cycle and explain how we arrived at our modern perspective of menstruation.

We will discuss how this impacts on us as women.

We will experientially explore the different phases of the menstrual cycle using  yoga, practical exercises, and self-reflection.

Participants will be able to address   and discover their own individual areas of concern and  learn how certain Ayurvedic  tips, techniques and recipes  will be of benefit.

£42 -includes a delicious Ayurvedic vegetarian Lunch. Spaces limited to 12 ladies.

Please bring a notebook, massage oil, one muslin cloth or tea towel, one small towel and a hot water bottle.
